Joe Montana was asked if Tom Brady secured his claim as the greatest quarterback of all time after winning his fifth Super Bowl, and Montana danced around the question as if he was back in the pocket avoiding a sack.

Many have previously considered the legendary San Francisco 49ers quarterback as the best of all time for his Hall of Fame career during which he won four Super Bowls. Now that Brady has surpassed him with five, one could argue that the New England Patriots quarterback solidified his claim to the title. Montana didn’t exactly agree.

The former gunslinger and his wife Jennifer appeared on Hallmark’s “Home & Family” for an episode that will air Friday, and the hosts did not hesitate to ask for Montana’s position in the debate.

Montana danced around the Brady question, using the old “it’s hard to compare guys from then to now,” even citing quarterbacks from before the Super Bowl era. Then he addressed his own claim to the GOAT debate saying “even though people say it — and I appreciate it — I still can’t say that about myself.”

Finally his wife butted in on the conversation. “At home you’re saying that all the time!” she said, busting her husband in the middle of his humble brag. “We are reminded constantly,” she added.

So, dance all you want, Joe, but we know what you really think about the greatest of all time debate, and clearly Tom Brady is not your guy.
