Johnny Manziel broke his social media silence to praise his former Texas A&M teammate Mike Evans.

“Reconnected with this guy last weekend in Houston and damn it’s crazy to see how far you’ve progressed my brotha. Nobody will really know about those days on scout team with Coach Sherman or the days the lights would go off at Reveille Ranch. They don’t know a thing about the days with Coach K 20,15,10 on the squat rack. From those days to living together and training together before the draft only for both of us to get drafted in the first round and have both our dreams come true. I was more happy on draft night for you to go where you did than I ever could have been for myself. Came from nothing to something is an understatement mikeyorrr. Not many guys make it off the island to being a dominant force in the NFL. I’ll never forget these times my g we did this shit together and I’m just trying to get on your level now. Incredible seeing you and your daughters and wifey last week and proud as hell of you. Never forget these memories we changed the landscape FOREVER #AggiesForLife @mikeevans @tamu #tbt,” Manziel wrote about his former teammate. (SLIDESHOW: Johnny Manziel‘s Sister Loves Showing Off Lots Of Skin)

Manziel didn’t play a single snap of football last season, but he seems very determined to return to the NFL. Only time will tell how Johnny Football’s saga ends.
