PHOTOS: New York Fashion Week Turns Political With Anti-Trump Messages
New York Fashion week was full of models in clothing that made a statement against President Donald Trump.
On Sunday, 20-year-old Victoria’s Secret Model, Bella Hadid, was captured on the catwalk at the Prabal Gurung show in New York City. In the shot, the model wore grey pants paired with a white t-shirt and a slogan on it that read, “The Future Is Female.”(RELATED: Celebrities Freak Out Over Trump’s Immigration Restriction)
Other models were captured wearing slogans like, “Break Down Walls,” and “Revolution Has No Borders.”
W Magazine shared a photo on its Instagram account of a model at one of the shows wearing Trump’s “Make America Great Again” cap, only instead it read, “Make America New York”.

On Sunday, the designer Prabul Gurung shared a photo on Instagram of both Hadid and another model who made a similar statement. She wore a black t-shirt that read, “3 million,” a reference to Hillary Clinton’s lead in the popular vote of the 2016 election.
Another Victoria’s Secret model, “Sara Sampaio” shared a photo from the same show. In the shot, she and other models wore t-shirts with messages that read, “You can’t stop me,” “I am Rosa,” and “I am an immigrant.”
She captioned the post, “Thank you @prabalgurung for such a powerful and inspiring show! #thisiswhatfeminismlookslike.”
At the Calvin Klein Show, models strutted the catwalk in red, white, and blue attire as David Bowie’s “This Is Not America” played in the background, according a Yahoo News report.
