Ashton Kutcher Blew Sen. McCain A Kiss On Capitol Hill
Ashton Kutcher blew Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain a kiss during his visit to Capitol Hill Wednesday after the senator took a jab at him about looking better “in the movies.”
The 39-year-old actor spoke before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to talk about the problem of human trafficking. Kutcher is the co-founder of Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children, a group that works to stop modern slavery. Kutcher said nothing in response to McCain and only responded by blowing the senator a kiss.
“I pledge my allegiance to that flag every single day and the honor, maybe one of the greatest honors of my life today, is to be here,” Kutcher started out his speech. “This is about the time that the Internet trolls tell me to stick to my day job. Let me tell you about my day job.”
“For years now, Thorn has been committed to building tech tools to combat child sexual exploitation and facilitating collaborations across [the] tech industry to disrupt these crimes,” he added. “We have no intention of stopping until we win this battle.”
Both Kutcher and several members on the committee were spotted wearing red “X” pins on their lapels during the meeting, a symbol of the END IT movement.
