McIlroy joined up with the president, former New York Yankees outfielder Paul O’Neill and Clear Sports CEO Garry Singer for a round at Trump International Golf Club in South Florida Sunday, Fox News Insider reports.

Clear Sports & Entertainment company tweeted a photo of the foursome and McIlroy is receiving heavy criticism by both the media and his fans for playing with President Trump.

The four-time major champion who is recovering from a stress fracture to one of his ribs played a full 18 hole round with the president.

“He probably shot around 80,” McIlroy said adding “he’s a decent player for a guy in his 70s!”
