Celebrities Furious That Trump Removed Obama Transgender Bathroom Guidelines

Celebrities like Katy Perry, Ellen DeGeneres and Lance Bass expressed their frustration via Twitter after President Donald Trump removed Barack Obama’s transgender bathroom guidelines.

On Wednesday, Trump’s administration revoked Obama’s order that forced taxpayer-funded schools to allow transgender students to use whichever locker room and bathroom they want. (RELATED: Celebrities Have Meltdown Over ‘Nightmare’ Confirmation Of AG Jeff Sessions)

“Just seeing the news about removing laws protecting trans people. This isn’t about politics. It’s about human rights, and it’s not okay,” DeGeneres tweeted.

“Trans friend, if you are struggling tonight, please reach out to @TrevorProject and @Translifeline. Equality for all! #ISTANDWITHGAVIN,” Perry tweeted.

“This is disgusting. This is unacceptable. I #StandWithGavin and every Trans person who deserve nothing less than protection and equality,” Brie Larson tweeted.
