Jack Black wants the winners at the Academy Awards Show Sunday to “talk some more shit about” President Donald Trump.

On Thursday, the 47-year-old actor brought up the president and Oscars at a benefit concert in Los Angeles telling the crowd he hopes Meryl Streep and other celebrities are “brave” and go up there on stage and “tell the truth about the president,” according to the Huffington Post(RELATED: Jack Black Compares Trump To Charlie Sheen ‘On Crack’)

“Is Meryl Streep in the audience tonight?” Black asked. “I just hope she wins the Oscar and talks some more shit about that asshole.” (RELATED: Creator Of ‘Hamilton’ Says The Oscars Should Get Political)

“A lot of people say, ‘Oh, that’s just liberals patting themselves on the back,'” he added. “I don’t agree. I thought it took balls. Thought she was very brave.”

“I was very inspired by it,” he continued. “To get up there and tell the truth about the president of the United States in front of a billion people — that takes courage, and it’s very inspiring. So, if she doesn’t win, to the winners in here, I hope you do the same, ya know?”

The host of this year’s show, Jimmy Kimmel, has promised to get political, but added that he plans to keep things “light.”

“I haven’t decided exactly how much I will dwell on that,” Kimmel told People magazine. “A lot of it depends on what happens that week. There are one, sometimes three, new interesting stories coming out of the White House every day it seems.”

“So who knows what will be happening,” he added. “I just hope whatever is happening is light.”
