Asghar Farhadi Boycotts The Oscars ‘Out Of Respect’ For People Affected By President Trump’s Immigration Ban
Viewers were stunned when Iranian actor Asghar Farhadi lectured President Trump on democracy and human rights at the Academy Awards Sunday night.
Though Farhadi won the award for “Best Foreign Language Film,” he boycotted the awards show and had someone read a statement in his place instead.
