Viola Davis Gave An Impassioned Acceptance Speech, But It Had Nothing To Do With Politics
Viola Davis surprised the crowd when she didn’t mention politics or President Trump as she gave an impassioned acceptance speech at the Academy Awards Sunday night.
The actress, who starred in an advertisement for Hillary Clinton during the presidential campaign, got emotional on stage.
“I became an artist, and thank God I did because we are the only profession that celebrates what it means to live a life,” Davis said.
