Harper had a heart attack and collapsed while working out in a New York City gym two weeks ago, according to an exclusive report by TMZ Monday. A doctor happened to be working out in the same gym and luckily was able to perform CPR and use a defibrillator to keep Harper alive.

“The Biggest Loser” host fell unconscious and says he woke up in a New York City hospital two days after the incident.

Harper lives in Los Angeles, but has remained in New York City after his heart attack because the doctors have not cleared him to fly yet.

The fitness nut’s mom died of a heart attack, so Harper is insisting it’s genetic, TMZ reports. As of now, the TV show host’s physical activity is limited to walking.
