Trump confirmed he will not be attending the dinner in April with a tweet on Saturday. He has attended the event in the past, but doesn’t see a need to be there this time.

When asked about Trump’s decision not to attend the event, the “Last Week Tonight” host simply told TMZ, “who gives a shit?”

“If can you find yourself prioritizing being annoyed by that, then that’s pretty impressive,” Oliver said. “I would put that on like the 250th most concerning thing at the moment.”

“There are thousands of things that are more concerning than that — than him not going to a dinner which is kind of bullshit anyway,” the British entertainer said.

Oliver then took a jab at the president considering what he might do instead of attending the dinner.

“I don’t know what he’s doing, but working doesn’t seem to be one of them.”
