You Won’t Believe What Adriana Lima Wanted To Be Before She Became A Model
Adriana Lima didn’t dream of becoming one of the most famous supermodels in the world when she was growing up, but instead wanted to be a nun.
The longtime Victoria’s Secret Angel was raised a devout Roman Catholic and went to church every Sunday before finding her fame on the runway, Fox News reports. In an interview published by Ocean Drive on Monday, Lima said that she still goes to church “every day” (in a way) and even reads her Bible backstage before fashion shows.
“The church is in me–I always connect,” she said. “If you’re connected with the divine and always have pure intentions with everything you’re doing, you’re protected by the angels.. I’m very spiritual. I believe in nature, I believe in energy, I believe in spirits.”
Although Adriana didn’t plan on becoming a model, she’s had a tremendous amount of success in the industry. She’s currently the longest-running Victoria’s Secret Angel and was named the second-highest-paid model in the world by Forbes in 2016.
The Brazilian beauty doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon either.
“My goal is to do the fashion show till I’m 40, at least,” Lima said about the annual Victoria’s Secret show. “Or [as long as] gravity is on my side.”
