Taylor Swift Fans Are Going To Love This News Ed Sheeran Just Let Slip
Taylor Swift fans just learned that the singer will likely release an album later this year, thanks to Ed Sheeran.
Sheeran was being interviewed Thursday by BBC News when he accidentally let it slip that his pal Swift was working on an album due out around Christmas time.
Fans have been wondering when Swift would release her next album after taking almost a year off from touring. (RELATED: Taylor Swift Shocked Fans With This News At Her Pre-Super Bowl Concert)
“I think this year is going to be the high point,” Sheeran responded when asked about what has been his high point of the past five years. “I have a feeling about it. Seventeen is my lucky number, and everyone I was scared of releasing of albums around me released them all last year — people like Beyonce and The Weekend and Bruno Mars.” (RELATED: Taylor Swift Fans Are Losing Their Minds Over Her Latest Post [VIDEO])
“Taylor [Swift] isn’t going to be releasing until probably the end of this year,” he added. “Christmas is the smartest time to release because that’s when everyone buys records. So I’ve got a full year of just all Ed, all the time.”
Last month, Swift surprised fans when she announced at her pre-Super Bowl concert that it would be her one and only show all of 2017.
“As far as I know I’m only doing one show in 2017, and as far as I know, this is that show,” the 27-year-old singer announced to the crowd of 9,000 cheering fans in the Texas city.
“You are attending 100 percent of my tour dates,” she added from the stage of Club Nomadic.
There has been no comment yet from Swift on what Sheeran said.
