Sib Hashian, the drummer for the rock band Boston, collapsed onstage and died mid-performance on Wednesday night.

The 67-year-old drummer was playing on the Legends of Rock Cruise when he “suddenly collapsed,” onstage TMZ reports. A witness said that CPR and a defibrillator were used in an attempt to revive Hasian, but were unsuccessful.

The cruise took off on March 18 from Florida on its way to stops in Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. The other musicians aboard the cruise plan to perform a tribute to Hashian on Thursday night. The ship will also apparently continue on its scheduled journey.

Hashian played on Boston’s debut album in 1976, which is still considered the rock band’s best featuring the hit songs “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” “Foreplay/Long Time” and “Smokin’.”
