Colombians Are Angry At This Rapper For Paying Homage To Pablo Escobar

Colombians are furious with Wiz Khalifa after the rapper visited the tomb of infamous cocaine drug lord Pablo Escobar over the weekend.

Khalifa shared several photos of his visit to Escobar’s grave in Medellin on Saturday. One of the photos shows the grave stone with flowers and what appears to be a joint next to it, presumably left by the rapper. In the others, Khalifa is seen smoking as he and several others stand by the tomb.

The rapper has received some intense backlash for visiting the grave with thousands of people criticizing the rapper on social media, the Associated Press reported.

The Mayor of Medellin, Federico Gutierrez, called Khalifa a “scoundrel” for paying his respects the the notorious cocaine kingpin.

Gutierrez suggested that the rapper should have brought flowers to the thousands of Colombians that were murdered during Escobar’s drug reign rather than pay homage to the man who was responsible for their death.
