Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Arrested For Public Intoxication And Possession Of Marijuana
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of public intoxication and marijuana possession after a car he was riding in crashed and injured eight people.
Boykin was reportedly riding as a passenger when the driver crashed the car into a bar in Dallas moving at a high speed in reverse. According to police, eight people suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, including the bartender inside the building, NFL.com reports.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of two felony counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle — serious bodily injury.
This is Boykin’s second alcohol-influenced arrest in a little over a year. The former TCU quarterback was arrested and charged for a misdemeanor assault and resisting arrest for allegedly hitting a patrol officer at a bar fight in December of 2015.
Boykin was taken into the Dallas County Jail Monday morning. His bond was set at $500.
