Cameras caught Clapton cruising through LAX airport on Wednesday, but the intensely private musician wasn’t up for talking with reporters.

“Due to severe bronchitis and under doctor’s advisement, Eric Clapton is rescheduling this weekend’s two shows at The Forum in Los Angeles,” a Clapton rep explained in a statement last week. “The Saturday March 25 show will now be held Wednesday, September 13. The Sunday March 26 show will now be held Monday September 18.”

“He is very sorry to disappoint his fans but looks forward to these shows,” the statement said on the 71-year-old guitarist’s behalf.

Clapton has only performed two shows this year, both of which were in New York. Hopefully he will recover soon and get back to doing what he does best.
