The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs Monday night to win the NCAA college basketball national championship by the score of 71-65.

The Heels and Bulldogs traded shots all night, but Gonzaga couldn’t overcome UNC guard Joel Berry’s heroic performance. The electric guard scored more than 20 points while dishing out an additional six assists.

Forward Justin Jackson struggled from deep, but still scored 16 important points throughout the game.
