CNN Analyst Uses Kentucky Basketball Metaphor In Reference To Syrian Airstrike

CNN military analyst and retired Major General James Marks dropped a Kentucky basketball reference when talking about the Syrian airstrikes with Anderson Cooper Thursday night.

John Calipari has built the Wildcats basketball program using a “one and done” approach. Kentucky brings in the best young talent in the nation, those players typically destroy every team in the conference, and then they move on to the NBA.

General Marks decided to drop his basketball metaphor out of nowhere during his discussion with Cooper about the Syrian strike executed by the United States last night.

“My point is, this is not like Kentucky basketball, one and done,” Marks said. “This is the start of a series of operations.”

That’s one way to get your point across, general. We’ll stand by for more.
