Chelsea Handler, Other Celebrities Blast Sean Spicer Over Holocaust Comment
Celebrities like Chelsea Handler, Debra Messing and Barbra Streisand blasted Press Secretary Sean Spicer after he said Adolf Hitler “didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.”
Among the performers, Streisand called for him to be fired, while Handler mocked Spicer after he said during the press briefing on Tuesday that Hitler didn’t gas his own people like Syrian president Bashar al-Assad. (RELATED: White House Reporter Releases A ‘Holocaust’ Pool Report)
“We didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II,” Spicer told the press. “You had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons, so you have to, if you’re Russia, ask yourself if this is a country you want to align yourself with.”
“Sean Spicer should be fired for saying Hitler did not use chemical weapons on ‘his own people.’ You mean 6 million Jews don’t count,” Streisand tweeted.

Hey @seanspicer u know Hitler didn’t open any “Holocaust Centers” right? They weren’t called that. He didn’t go “Time to do the Holocaust.”

If Sean Spicer had to give a marathon “Chappelle-at-the-Laugh-Factory” length presser, he’d for sure reveal at least 1 impeachable offense.

A statement later released by the White House press pool clarified Spicer’s remarks.
“In no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust,” Spicer’s statement read. “I was trying to draw a distinction of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on population centers. Any attack on innocent people is reprehensible and inexcusable.”
