Jennifer Garner has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck nearly two years after the couple first separated.

According to TMZ, the actress filed her divorce papers without using a lawyer. Because Affleck filed his repose almost simultaneously, it is considered a coordinated move between the two. They are asking for joint legal and physical custody of their three children.

The couple did not have a prenuptial agreement, TMZ notes, so Garner and Affleck are still negotiating a financial settlement.

“No matter what happens, Ben and Jen are committed to raising their family as one unit and will continue to do so as it has worked for them,” a source told Us Weekly of the split. “They are both committed to their family.”

The couple first announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage in June 2015. They have three children together.
