“Early results are promising,” the company wrote in a statement. “The triumphant return of a comedy legend in Dave Chappelle: Collection 1 was our most viewed comedy special ever. We are also finding this to be true in international markets as well, with comedian Gad Elmaleh’s Gad Gone Wild, a breakout hit in France last quarter.” (RELATED: Dave Chappelle To Host Saturday Night Live)

During the first quarter, the company released 17 stand-up comedy specials, including one from Amy Schumer that was widely panned by viewers. In addition, the letter shared that the company’s partnership with Adam Sandler has been fruitful as viewers have spent more than “half a billion hours” watching his films.
