The country star said the same thing before finishing up his most recent album, but that didn’t stop him from making the claim again for his record in the works.

“That last album I made, I said that was gonna be my last,” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight. “This next album that I’m making is probably gonna be my last album. And so I really got to decide what I want to do it’s probably gonna be my last record,” he added.

The 40-year-old singer also added that he may be stepping down as a coach on the hit television competition “The Voice,” although fellow coach Alicia Keys didn’t believe it.

“This is probably my last season of this show, too,” he said standing alongside Keys. “I don’t do entertainment anymore, kids. I’m sorry.”
