Alec Baldwin confirmed that he will reprise his role playing President Donald Trump on the final two shows this season of “Saturday Night Live.”

“I’m going to do it, not this weekend because we are here. I’m going to travel back on Saturday,” the 59-year-old actor said during his appearance Wednesday night on Extra TV(RELATED: Mocking Trump Gives ‘SNL’ Highest Ratings In 22 Years)

“But the weekend of the 13th and the 20th, which is the season finale, the 20th is the last show, May 20th, I’m going to do it then and hopefully go out with a bang,” he added. (RELATED: Alec Baldwin Hints He Might Play Trump At WHCD)

The actor didn’t explain what the statement meant and whether it would be the final time he would play Trump for the season on “SNL” or the last time he would ever do the impersonation of the president for the show.

Baldwin said in a recent interview that the Trump character garners him more attention than anything else in his entire career.

“Well it’s amazing, I think more than anything it’s kind of eerie,” Baldwin responded, after Colbert asked if he likes playing Trump. “More than anything I’ve ever done, people come up to me and say something to me on the streets. People will walk up to me and I’ll, we’ll be putting Carmen [his youngest daughter] in her little stroller and someone will walk by very quietly and go ‘Thank you, thank you, oh my good thank you.’ They are always thanking me for the Trump thing.”
