Selena Gomez Drops New Music Video, The First To Premiere On Spotify
Selena Gomez released new music Thursday just after midnight — a video for her new single “Bad Liar.”
It made history by being the first music video to premiere on the streaming service Spotify, according to People magazine. She had been teasing it on Instagram before the release. Gomez also posted the audio to YouTube, and the video has already accumulated more than 2 million views. (RELATED: Selena Gomez Poses Topless For Her Most Scandalous Magazine Cover Yet)
At one point in the video, the singer is lying on a bed in her underwear with her hands bound together.
It is the second single the former Disney star has produced since she announced she was taking a break from music for health reasons more than eight months ago.
“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have Lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways,” the 24-year-old singer wrote in a statement back in August to People magazine. “I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges.”
“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off,” she added. “Thank you to all my fans for your support.”
