Kim Kardashian was attacked on social media Tuesday after she posted a smiling photo of herself alongside Kendall Jenner and Ariana Grande in a tribute to the victims killed in Manchester, England.

“I’m praying for everyone in Manchester,” Kardashian wrote in the caption next to the post on Instagram. (RELATED: Report: Kim Kardashian Beefs Up Security With Ex-Secret Service Members)

“This is truly so senseless & heart breaking,” she added. “I can’t imagine the fear and agony these parents must be going through searching for their kids. Concerts are supposed to be a place where u can let loose and have fun. It’s so scary to not feel safe in this world. My heart goes out to @arianagrande I love you.”  (RELATED: Kim Kardashian And Kanye Trying To Have Another Baby)

Reading through the comments left by her followers, most felt that sharing a snap of herself having a good time missed the mark as a tribute to the 22 people killed and dozens others injured in the terrorist attack at Grande’s concert at the Manchester Arena Monday night.

“The most important thing for u is that u look nice on this picture.. as a true idiot, u use tragedy to
promote yourself,” one wrote.

“Not even in the worst moments, this woman can stop trying to be the center of attention. A lot of people died, you are disgustingly selfish,” another added.

“Nothing about this photo shows any type of caring or sadness! Come on Kim u can’t b serious! Do better @kimkardashian,” one continued.

“Really you put a picture of you guys smiling and making sure you look good I hardly thinks that shows empathy,” one wrote.

“Should’ve known you would make this about you kim. Lol at your pathetic self,” another added.

“It is a literal tragedy and we are all praying but seriously Kim you are just posting a pic of yourself with Ariana barley in it and all faces are happy af and this is how you express your sadness ? So sorry for you,” one continued.

And the comments were similar on Twitter after she tweeted the same picture, before it was deleted.

“The need for you to post a pic of yourself…disgusting,” one tweeted.

“Ariana is obviously traumatized by this, but this pic is centered and lit on Kim’s face, Ariana is off to the side. Pic draws attn to kim,” another added.

“The youngest victim was 8 and this is what you are doing. Shame on you,” one continued.

A short time later, the reality star sent a second tweet about the victims without a picture.

Update: Original story did not include a screenshot, as it was written before Kardashian deleted the tweet.
