Chelsea Handler On Kathy Griffin: ‘People Need To Move On’
Chelsea Handler said “people need to move on” when asked her thoughts about the gruesome photo that surfaced last week of Kathy Griffin holding a severed head of President Donald Trump.
“Well she apologized and people should move on,” the talk show host and comedian said during an interview that was published Tuesday in The Hollywood Reporter. (RELATED: Chelsea Handler Rips Melania Trump: ‘She Can Barely Speak English’)
“I mean she apologized, that’s it,” the actress added. “All she can do is apologize. She made a mistake, she said she’s sorry and people need to move on.” (RELATED: Kathy Griffin Losing More Work Over Gruesome ‘Beheaded’ Trump Photo
The comedian also down played Griffin’s comments about receiving death threats after the photo came out last week.
“Anyways, everyone gets death threats,” Handler explained.

Griffin has lost tons of work since the photo surfaced, including being dumped from an ad campaign for the toilet stool company Squatty Potty.
“All my jobs,” the comedian said at her press conference Friday. “Everything…to date I think that I have had five cancellations of concerts. I think the most ironic one is a casino in Albuquerque..I’m just saying there’s some irony there.”
Griffin apologized hours after the outrage on social media and admitted she went “too far.”
“I am sorry. I went too far. I was wrong,” Griffin tweeted Tuesday along with a video message.
