Huma Abedin Makes A Rare Red Carpet Appearance In New York
Huma Abedin made a rare public appearance Tuesday night.
Hillary Clinton’s former aide showed up solo on the red carpet at the CFDA Fashion Awards in New York dressed in a fuchsia gown.
Abedin separated from her husband, disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner, last August after he was caught in his third sexting scandal. She said she made the decision after “long and painful consideration and work on my marriage.”
Abedin then filed for divorce from Weiner in mid-May.
At the event, Janelle Monae parroted a line that Clinton often said during the 2016 campaign.
“”As human beings, it is going to be our responsibility to take care of one another,” Monae stated. “Women’s rights are human rights. LGBTQ rights are human rights… So as human beings let’s never forget that none of us are free until all of us are free.”
