Blake Shelton gushed about his relationship with Gwen Stefani Wednesday ahead of the 2017 CMT Awards show.
The 40-year-old country singer said on the “Today” show in Nashville that the two of them were doing great after a year and a half of dating, according to Entertainment Tonight. (RELATED: Gwen Stefani Returning To ‘The Voice’ With Blake Shelton)

“She’s [Stefani] [doing] great,” Shelton said. “She’s sad that The Voice is over, she loves doing the show.”
“Well, I hope she’s good with me,” he joked later when pressed further about how their relationship was going.
“I’m real good with her,” he continued. “We’re just content and happy and it’s just — it’s an incredible feeling. Our hobby is just hanging out together, you know? She’s my best friend.” (RELATED: Blake Shelton On Gwen Stefani: ‘This Is How My Life Turned Around’)
Stefani did not appear with the singer at the annual event that celebrates country music’s biggest stars, but did show her support in a message she shared on Instagram before the show.
“Watching this guy @blakeshelton #cmtawards gx,” Stefani wrote.
At the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, Shelton explained that because Stefani was with him, he felt like the “luckiest guy in the room.”
“I felt like I was the luckiest guy in the room anyway because Gwen is here with me, so I had a good feeling about it,” Shelton told the audience during his acceptance speech.
The musical duo has been dating since they meet on “The Voice” in 2015 after they both went through divorces.
