It’s been about 10 years since Danica Patrick traded her racing suit for a bikini for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, but the publication is still proud of the NASCAR driver’s photo shoot.
SI Swimsuit released a video from one of Patrick’s sexy shoots for the annual bikini magazine, and it should remind her fans that she needs to take a break from the racetrack to hit the beach again.
“This type of shooting is actually really fun. I didn’t know how I would feel coming in,” Danica said at the time of her 2008 shoot. “I don’t think I’ve ever really been in a straight swimming suit before for a photo shoot before. So, you know, I was a little bit nervous but excited too because this is a big deal.”
Obviously the professional driver was a bit out of her comfort zone on the beach instead of being behind the wheel, but it didn’t take her long to embrace the change of scenery.
“It really did feel weird to be in a bathing suit and wearing racing boots, or like, wearing my race suit. And then I’m on the beach I’m in the sun in a swimming suit and I’m boxing with my driving gloves on,” Patrick admitted.
