Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Reportedly Hire A Surrogate To Carry Their Third Child
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly hired a surrogate to carry their third child because it would be too risky for Kim carry it herself.
The reality television star has expressed the desire to have a third child on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” but doing so would pose a high risk for the baby. After giving birth to the couple’s second child, doctors diagnosed Kardashian with placenta accreta, which causes placenta to grow in the wall of the womb, making it difficult to extract the baby during birth.
Kardashian later underwent surgery on her uterus, after which doctors informed her that “carrying again would be too difficult,” according to Page Six. Because of that Kim and Kanye have now hired a surrogate to carry their third child, a source told People.
“Not only has this been really painful, but now hearing that I can’t carry any more kids, it couldn’t get any worse,” the 36-year-old mother said on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.”
“After talking to Kanye, I think that I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn’t think it was that realistic of an option,” Kardashian admitted. “Now, I feel like that’s my reality.”
Although People reports the couple “have hired a surrogate” they didn’t confirm who it was. Both sister Khloé Kardashian and model Chrissy Teigen have offered to be Kardashian’s surrogate.
“I would be her surrogate in a second,” Teigen told Access Hollywood. “I really enjoyed the pregnancy process–I loved it. Yes. In a heartbeat.”
