A trailer was released late Wednesday night for the upcoming film about former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.
The film is simply titled “Marshall.” The plot, according to IMDB, is, “about a young Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice, as he battles through one of his career-defining cases.”
The opening scene of the trailer involves a bartender pulling a shotgun, and it never slows down.
WATCH:
Chadwick Boseman stars in the lead role as Marshall, and it’s hardly the first time he’s played a leading role in a film centered on race.
He also famously played the role of Jackie Robinson in the hit movie “42.”
The cast is rounded out by Dan Stevens, Kate Hudson, Sophia Bush and Josh Gad, who also recently starred in the “Beauty and the Beast” remake. Watch The New Red-Band Trailer For ‘American Assassin’
It is currently slated to be released Oct. 13, 2017.
