Musical superstar Taylor Swift had an interesting congratulations message after Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook won the NBA MVP award.
It’s hard to explain the strange message she had for the electric scorer, but at one point she jokingly credited him for all of her success in the music industry.
“I remember the first time you beat me at basketball and I was very upset and you said, if you remember correctly, you said, ‘You just have to shake it off,’ and I got an idea. So essentially we have each other to thank for these careers, obviously. So that’s why I’m a part of your congratulations video because we go back, what, 20 years — actually we’ve never met, and that’s a fake story, but I wish it were the truth,” Swift said into the camera.

Swift has had one of the most successful careers in the history of music, so maybe some of her success will rub off on Westbrook and it’ll get him a championship. Either way, it’s about time Swift drops another album.
