The Jen-dashian family might not be having the best day, but their lawyers are.

First, Rob finds out he’s going to be hit with a restraining order and, now, sisters Kendall and Kylie are sued for copyright infringement over t-shirts they were selling on their website. The shirts feature images of late rapper Tupac Shakur with their own photo and their initials “KK” superimposed over it.

The Fashion Law reports that photographer Michael Miller, who owns the copyrights on two images of Tupac Shakur that appear on the shirts, has filed a lawsuit in California Friday saying that the sisters have “misappropriated and wrongfully exploited” these photos.

“Mr. Miller’s artwork is very personal and extremely important to him as a creator,” Miller’s counsel Scott Alan Burroughs Esq. said in a statement to TFL.

“When someone exploits his work without even telling him, let alone obtaining his authorization, it damages not only the value of the work but his ability to make a living as an artist. And, as a society, we want to ensure that it is the artist who benefits when their work used commercially, as this is not only fair, but enables the creation of new art,” the statement continued.

“When an infringer misappropriates an artist’s work and exploits it for profit, the artist is left with no choice but to enforce their rights.”
