Shia LaBeouf went on a racist rant against the black cop who arrested him in a newly released video from his arrest over the weekend, TMZ first reported.

“You’re going to hell, straight to hell, bro,” the 31-year-old actor can be heard saying in the video to the officer, claiming it was simply because he was a “black man.” (RELATED: Shia LaBeouf Arrested For Disorderly Conduct And Public Drunkenness)

Later a white officer spoke to the actor and said, “That’s not very nice to say. That doesn’t mean he’s going to hell.”

In response LaBeouf replied, “It means a whole lot, bro.” Adding later, that the officer only arrested him because he was white.

“A black man arrested me for being white,” LaBeouf explained.

The actor has since posted an apology on Twitter calling his actions, a “new low” and that he was “actively taking steps toward securing” his sobriety.

“I am deeply ashamed of my behavior and make no excuse for it,” LaBeouf wrote. “I don’t know if these statements are too frequent, or not shared often enough, but I am certain that my actions warrant a very sincere apology to the arresting officers, and I am grateful for their restraint. The severity of my behavior is not lost on me.”

“My outright disrespect for authority is problematic to say the least, and completely destructive to say the worst,” he added. “It is a new low. A low I hope is a bottom. I have been struggling with addiction publicly for far too long, and I am actively taking steps toward securing my sobriety and hope I can be forgiven for my mistakes.”

LaBeouf was arrested Saturday in Georgia and charged with disorderly conduct after “becoming aggressive towards” an officer.

He was charged on suspicion of obstruction, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness, according to Chatham County Sheriff’s department jail records. The actor reportedly got upset when he asked someone for a cigarette and they refused. An officer was nearby when it occurred.
