New York Giants wide receiver Brandon Marshall declined to discuss race in America in a recent interview, despite the fact he made the comments that kicked off the discussion.

Marshall was doing an interview with WEEI’s Kirk & Callahan when he was asked about previous comments he made about how black people are treated differently than white men. He did not handle the situation well when pressed by the hosts.

“I’m not getting into the race card with you guys. So if that’s what you guys want to do you can go there, but black guys in America get treated differently, period. I’ll just say that. Black guys in America get treated differently,” Marshall responded when asked to explain his comments.

Moments later he abruptly ended the interview because the hosts wanted him to explain his comments.

WATCH:

Not a great look for Marshall. You can’t really start a debate about race in America and about how black people are oppressed, and then just end the interview when asked to explain.

Shouldn’t be long before the social justice warriors take this story, twist it and run with the narrative that the white hosts were being racists towards the former New York Jets receiver for simply asking him to explain himself.
