The Seattle Storm partnered with Planned Parenthood for Tuesday night’s game against the Chicago Sky.

The WNBA team donated $5 per ticket sold to Planned Parenthood, according to USA Today.

Christine Charbonneau, CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands, released the following statement to the media.

The Seattle Storm owners made a decision to publicly support Planned Parenthood, making them the first professional sports team to make their voice heard and their stance knownWe are proud to work alongside the Storm and their efforts in leveling the playing field for women and girls. Right now, we are seeing a relentless effort to roll back progress for women. Being in this fight alongside our supporters and the Storm is an honor.

Man, I sure hope Planned Parenthood’s budget is able to handle all the extra income they’re about to get from WNBA ticket sales. I can’t imagine how many abortions can be done with that extra $500 from the sold-out WNBA championship.

I know I rag on the WNBA a lot, but it’s not because I hate women. I love women and anybody familiar with my past work knows I routinely defend them from ridiculous garbage.

I hate the WNBA because it’s just bad basketball, and as a former state champion, I cannot and will not tolerate bad basketball. It’s really that simple. And before all you liberal social justice warriors jump down my throat, no, not all women’s sports are boring. Women’s hockey is extremely exciting, especially in the Olympics.

To quote the great Dwight Schrute, “What’s the argument here? NBA? WNBA? One is a sport. One is a joke. I love sports. I love jokes. Room for all.”

Here’s the real question — if $5 from every ticket went to Planned Parenthood what money was left over to pay the players? I’m pretty sure for like $7 they’ll let you play in a WNBA game.
