Sports Illustrated seems to be under the belief that people are eagerly waiting to rush out and rent their swimsuit videos on YouTube.

SI posted a swimsuit video Monday afternoon titled, “Gigi Hadid, Kate Upton & SIS Legends Strip Down, Go Behind The Scenes,” and I instantly noticed something wasn’t right.

In order to watch the 54 minute video viewers will have to pay just under a dollar, which while being not a lot of money, seems like a bit of a stretch to believe people will pay.

This whole move is a lot more baffling when you consider the fact there are literally hundreds, if not thousands of SI swimsuit videos already online.

I’m not an expert when it comes to Sports Illustrated’s business model, but it’s suspect given the fact there are countless hours of free bikini videos and much more graphic content already on the internet. Those videos are literally seconds away from any consumer, and I find it hard to believe that anybody is going to waste their time paying for YouTube videos.

Maybe this is just a test and we can go back to the way things used to be. Like last Friday, when everything was perfect in the world and these videos were free. Those are the days so many of us long for now.
