National Watermelon Day Didn’t Include Much Clothing

National Watermelon Day is apparently a real thing, but not in the way you might think.

America set aside Aug. 3 to celebrate watermelons, and for some reason it mostly involves women in skimpy outfits holding actual watermelons.

How I’d not yet heard of this glorious day is beyond me, and kind of disappointing. Setting that aside, the women who celebrated did so in incredible fashion.

I don’t often eat watermelon, but I do love women in bikinis. I’ll tell you this, I’d be much more likely to eat watermelon if the advertising campaigns resembled those pictures. Seems like a billion dollar idea just waiting to be tapped.
