Former Ohio State quarterback and current San Diego Chargers player Cardale Jones hilariously responded to recent comments from UCLA gunslinger Josh Rosen.

Rosen gave an interview to Bleacher Reporter, where he came straight out and said school and football aren’t meant to go together.

The UCLA superstar explained in part:

Look, football and school don’t go together. They just don’t. Trying to do both is like trying to do two full-time jobs. There are guys who have no business being in school, but they’re here because this is the path to the NFL. There’s no other way. Then there’s the other side that says raise the SAT eligibility requirements. OK, raise the SAT requirement at Alabama and see what kind of team they have. You lose athletes and then the product on the field suffers.

Jones was infamous during his time with the Buckeyes for claiming he didn’t go to OSU to “play school.”

Well, it looks like the national champion quarterback has done a little maturing over the years, and encouraged Rosen to “play school” in a tweet late Monday.

This is what is so awesome about sports: Jones’ resurgence into the mix several years after his insane comments, which are probably true, and Rosen saying the exact same thing in a more refined fashion.

After all, it’s insane to believe these athletes don’t have a point on some level when it comes to the amount of commitment required to be a college star.
