Willie Nelson cut his concert short on Sunday night in Salt Lake City, Utah because he was too high–above sea level, that is.
The country music star is well known to smoke a little marijuana here and there, but he was a whole other kind of high last night, according to a statement posted to the singer-songwriter’s social media accounts.
This is Willie I am sorry to have to cut the SLC show short tonight The altitude got to me I am feeling better now & headed for lower ground

“This is Willie. I am very sorry to have to cut the cut the Salt Lake City performance short tonight. The altitude just got to me,” the statement said. “I am feeling better now and headed for lower ground.”
The 83-year-old had to cancel a string of concerts earlier this year due to a bad cold, but later returned to the road to tour after releasing his latest album, “God’s Problem Child.”
Hopefully the legendary country outlaw will bounce back from the altitude sickness and be back to his normal self soon enough.
