President Donald Trump is headed to Texas, and I can comfortably say he’ll lock up his 2020 re-election if he throws on a cowboy hat while in the Lone Star State.

Trump is headed to Texas to assess the damage from Hurricane Harvey, and remind the people of Texas that all of America stands with them in these trying times.

We all know Texans love very few things more than their cowboy hats. Imagine the joy and excitement that would spread around the state if Trump made it clear the whole country was here to assist the people of Houston while rocking a great hat.

George W. Bush used to rock a cowboy hat, and it was one of the coolest things about the former president.

I have no idea where Trump’s current approval rating sits. I do know they’ll be somewhere around 100 if he gets down to Texas, pulls off the hat as well as W. did and gets the people in Texas the help they need. He won’t even have to spend one second campaigning in 2020.
