UFC megastar Paige VanZant’s next fight has officially been finalized.
VanZant will enter the octagon October 7 at UFC 216, and square up against Jessica Eye. The UFC fan favorite usually fights at strawweight, but she’ll be bumping up to 125 pounds and featherweight for the UFC 216 bout.
It’s probably a very safe assumption that VanZant is hyped about her return considering the fact she captioned the Instagram announcement, “Tell the wolves I’m home.”
I’ve been following VanZant’s career incredibly close over the course of the past year, and I’ve been saying nonstop she’d eventually return. Many people thought she’d leave the UFC after her December 2016 loss to Michelle Waterson, but I held the line firm.
All the signs were there for an epic comeback. Personally, I can’t wait to watch VanZant walk back into the octagon. She’s one of the most electric personalities in sports, and her return is very good for the UFC as a whole.
