Former UFC superstar Ronda Rousey appeared in a scripted WWE promo, and it didn’t exactly resemble the acting of a superstar.

The video was released Monday, and features several fighters. MMA Mania has more details on what this cryptic video is about.

MMA Mania reports in part:

Look no further than her backstage confrontation with Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Bailey, who locked eyes with Rousey and “Four Horsewomen” stablemates Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke.

All three were on hand to support teammate and ex-UFC fighter Shayna Baszler in the “Mae Young Classic,” a women’s tournament designed to find the next big star in pro wrestling.

Rousey, on hiatus from UFC, is part of a scripted storyline which involved the above dialogue (drop bag, look tough, mutter threats) and I don’t think I’ve seen a performance that stiff since Old Chief Wood’nhead in 1987’s Creepshow 2.

WATCH:

I’m not sure what I just watched, but that video is not a great look for Rousey. She went from being the most feared female fighter in the UFC to now doing awkward WWE videos. Rousey used to crack her opponents heads, and now she’s barely able to deliver her lines in that WWE video.

Secondly, she’s not a bad actress. She was in the “Entourage” film, and did a fine job. I don’t know this video is so awful, but it’s unbearable. I really hope this isn’t a sign of things to come for Rousey’s career.

She was way too successful and influential in the sports world to sink to the level of doing bad WWE promos.
