Sports Illustrated might finally have lost me as a fan of their swimsuit videos.
They committed a crime against me so heinous I’m almost afraid to even discuss it. I was perusing Instagram, as I often do, and I came across SI’s newest swimsuit video.
This was the featured image before clicking into the video:
Ladies and gentlemen, I’m clicking that video one billion percent of the time. The first frame of the video jumped to another swimsuit model in white.
So far, so good. The video was living up to expectations. However, I was not prepared for what came next. What happened next is so traumatizing my coworkers had to ask if I was okay. The video flipped to Ashley Graham on the beach.
No warning of any kind was given.
Are you kidding me Sports Illustrated? Are you freaking kidding me? You can’t do that to a man. Look, I’m not going to comment on Ashley Graham, and whether or not she should be a model. I understand some people like her.
This is about SI baiting me in with two smoke shows and then switching it out with no warning. Also, when you watch the video, it’s weird how quickly they cut away from the other models in favor of the plus-sized Graham.

I don’t usually have trust issues, but this video has me rethinking my entire opinion of SI’s swimsuit division. For the love of everything that is great in this world, give me a damn warning next time.
