Women’s Group Accuses Lattes Of Racism

It’s that time of year again. The air is crisp, the leaves are on the ground, and there’s a faint smell of racism – I mean pumpkin spice – in the air.

That’s at least according to the women’s advancement group UltraViolet, which claims that in every Starbucks drink there’s an extra shot of racism and sympathy for white supremacy.

Shaunna Thomas, a co-founder of UltraViolet, explains:

The fact that Starbucks continues to line Donald Trump’s pocket flies in the face of the higher ethical standard the company claims to have.  Words are cheap and op-eds are meaningless when Starbucks spends millions on leases in Trump properties, putting money directly into the pockets of a racist, misogynistic bigot.

She’s talking about the 24,000 Starbucks shops located on Trump properties. Never mind the fact Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has denounced white supremacy specifically and pledged to hire 10,000 refugees this year, or the fact that Schultz is Jewish.

Remember that loser in middle school who petitioned for healthier lunches or proudly asked if there was homework at the end of the day? Well, they grew up and found their calling at UltraViolet. Their group is circulating a petition to dismantle all Starbucks and Nike businesses affiliated with Trump properties.

Not only would dismantling Starbucks and Nike stores ruin profits for these businesses, it would also destroy thousands of jobs and further silence the honest working class. You know, the same people that UltraViolet and their comrades want to mobilize.

The petition already has 73,000 signatures and is growing by the day.

The only logical resistance to this movement is to exercise your right as an American and drink a Pumpkin Spice Latte every day for the rest of your life. Freedom is a beautiful thing.
