Danielle Bregoli has scored a massive record deal with Atlantic Records.

Remember January 2017? There was a chill in the air, Donald Trump was sworn in as our 45th president, and everyone was talking about Danielle Bregoli.

And if you don’t think you were talking about Danielle, you probably were without knowing it because back in January, the 13-year-old girl appeared on an episode of Dr. Phil about unruly children.

Her interview quickly went viral:

Her appearance on Dr. Phil turned into a meme. Which turned into paid appearances. Which turned into a song. Which turned into money. Which now has turned into even more money, as Danielle Bregoli just cashed in and signed a record deal with Atlantic Records.

Yes, the same Atlantic Records that’s signed Ed Sheeran, Wiz Khlaifa, Phil Collins, Bruno Mars, and James Blunt.

Danielle caught Atlantic’s attention after she released a single titled “These Heaux,” a word she uses interchangeably with other terms like “other people” and “everyone.”

Danielle released the song under her rap name Bhad Bhabie and has gotten over 23 million views on her music video.

I can’t blame Atlantic Records for signing Danielle onto their label. Their job is to make money first, then worry about talent. If people are willing to subject themselves to her music and it’s a money maker, I support that.

This is America, after all. Literally anybody is allowed to become famous for anything. Kim Kardashian has made millions after being launched into stardom from a sex tape. Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg have a cooking show. Perez Hilton is famous for dubbing a famous heiress’ name and peddling celebrity scandals. And we can’t forget real Paris Hilton’s song “Stars Are Blind.”

This is the America we’re living in now. We might as well get used to it.
