Emilia Clarke Goes Blonde For ‘Game Of Thrones’ Final Season
Emilia Clarke has been starring in “Game Of Thrones” for seven seasons, but the natural brunette has never once gone blonde for her role as Daenerys Targaryen.
The 30-year-old actress revealed that she is going platinum blonde for the final season of the hit HBO series by sharing a photo to Instagram on Tuesday after dying her hair.
“AAAAHHHHHHH SHHHHIIIII****** I done did it. Mother of dragons meet Emilia. Emilia meet mother of dragons. If you squint just so you might never know,” Clarke said in the caption.
For the first seven seasons of the series Clarke has worn a platinum blonde wig for the role, but she’s going all in for season eight. The British actress was sure to thank the creators of the “Khaleesi wig” before thanking them again “for at long last making this magical moment a reality.”
The final season is a long way off and isn’t expected to air until 2019. That should give Clarke plenty of time to grow out the long locks to match the Khaleesi wig she’s worn for the first seven seasons.
