Learning To Not Get Extorted Over Videos Of Yourself With Strippers Is Day One Stuff

Someone forgot to tell Kevin Hart how to avoid situations with strippers that lead to getting extorted.

Stripper Montia Sabbag has been identified as the woman in a a video at the center of an extortion investigation and an apology posted on social media by Hart, according to TMZ.

TMZ reported in part:

Kevin Hart partied with a woman — who is now at the center of the sexually explicit video — for an entire weekend last month, and we’ve learned she’s a stripper who hits up whatever clubs she can book.

Her name is Montia Sabbag, although she sometimes spells it Montiah Sabagg. She’s 27, lives in Long Beach, CA and met Kevin during a pretty wild weekend in Vegas back in August.

The first frames of the 4 minute and 47 second video are a pic of Kevin and Montia. You can’t see who’s on the bed during the most explicit portion of the tape, but after the bed scene 2 people who look like Kevin and Montia are walking around in various stages of undress.

Sabbag is denying she’s behind the extortion, but TMZ has also reported she wanted more than $400,000 to cooperate with Hart.

I’ve said this before, but apparently it needs to be said again. I was taught at a very young age not to ever put myself in a position where cameras are around and poor decisions are being made. This was drilled into my head by the time I was a freshman in college. The logic is very simple. People motivated by nefarious reasons will get you on tape saying or doing something and then leverage it into a quick payday.

If 18 year old David Hookstead was aware of the risks, how wasn’t a guy of Kevin Hart’s stature? Putting yourself in an environment with strippers and cameras in a private setting where you don’t know every single person in the room is incredibly dumb.

It’s also worth noting that the people behind the extortion attempts to make some quick money are the worst people alive. A guy lets his guard down for a second, and next thing he knows there’s a video out there that can cause him serious professional and personal problems. They should be locked up and the key should be thrown away.

Of course, this entire situation could have been avoided if Hart had the same level of common sense that I did as a teenager.
