Ayesha Curry Is The Newest Face Of CoverGirl – Golden State Just Keeps On Winning

Ayesha Curry is the latest face of beauty, according the CoverGirl Cosmetics.

Stephen Curry’s wife announced today she’s joining the likes of Sophia Vergara, Katy Perry, and Queen Latifah to endorse beauty products and star in the brand’s commercials.

She’ll kick off her campaign by endorsing a new mascara that will hit stores in November.

Ayesha is no stranger to fame either. She has her own cooking show on the Food Network called “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen” and has over 5 million followers on Instagram.

Covergirl has skated by recent controversies that other makeup brands struggle with. They feature women of all ages and races. From Zendaya to Ellen Degeneres, CoverGirl caters to many ages and skin colors.

L’Oreal, on the other hand, has struggled with inclusion. Last month the brand had to fire a transgender model for making comments that all white people are racist.

CoverGirl’s Vice President said of Ayesha joining the team:

We realized we were casting a certain genre of CoverGirls, but in reality there’s so many beautiful women and men who use makeup for different roles everyday…We thought it’d be great to celebrate one in particular, who not only has a different role than we have in the past, but plays a number of different roles, and does so really successfully and is admired for millions because of it.

And with more beauty companies quickly coming out with more racially inclusive shades of makeup, CoverGirl is hoping to keep up.

Her husband is winning championships on the court, and she’s dominating life off it. There’s almost too much winning going on for this couple.
